"Welcome to Pathway Park,
a paradise where you can wash your regrets away!"

  • “After that day, I learned to say goodbye.”
  • “This all feels like a dream, doesn’t it?” "Anything can happen in a dream."
  • Am I a misfortune to you?
  • Sweet dreams.

Concept

Pathway is a game set in a dreamlike amusement park that explores themes such as humanity and society. The feeling of regret, and its origin from kindness, is a central element of the story. Throughout the game, you’ll slowly uncover the mysteries of the park and its visitors, as well as gaining a deeper understanding of their mentalities and motivations.

I feel like there could be more clarity in a lot of places. It's fun to explore, but given that's it a demo, I'm not sure how far it has completed (as of yet).

Spoilers:

The game asks you to find something long and I am not sure what exactly constitutes for it (for the fountain). I am aware of the train contents and it is very interesting to follow the tunnel to see the 'night time' part of it, but not more (besides observing that there is a staff room that I cannot enter). So far I have 3 souvenirs and that is it. I am also aware of the place which looks abandoned but cannot access. I'm not sure what to do or if it's fleshed out or if I cannot access as that's not completed yet.

Hello, Mike! To answer your question, the demo contains most of the first area with the exception of a few locked doors, and there is currently no content beyond the two gates on the west and east (including the abandoned area you mentioned). The plot of the first chapter and all its required items are fully accessible, up until a cutscene that explicitly tells you the demo is over.

As for the fountain item, it can be found here (linked to avoid spoiling those who haven't played). You aren't the only person to have struggled with finding it - this seems to be a common roadblock among players, from what I've been told - so we'll look into how we can make this part easier or more intuitive in the full game.

Thanks for your feedback!

Ah, I see. Yes, it explicitly mentioned that the demo ended after I found out about the item that was required for the fountain. It was quite interesting, but I don't recall the map showing it (or maybe I'm just misremembering) so maybe that's why.

I enjoyed the game, I hope that the settings could be kind of more intuitive early on in the game. I had no idea I could switch from WASD to other forms of navigation until I was decently into the game. I enjoyed the small 4 person rocket game though, it was a fun way to play through and get more dice that way. There is only one treasure map so far, right?

Also, I liked the sound changes in various places, such as the Ferris wheel (which really stuck out to me for some reason) and the night time area (and the lack of sound in the tunnel). I liked going through the game, looking forward for the updates!

希望可以提醒一下有驚悚成分,但總體而言感覺還不錯

Great game and kinda creepy when I hear the music and know that Hansel already passed away. Poor Hansel :-(. But i kinda confuse on the feerris wheel. I don't know I can interact with my mouse to choose I, II and III when the first time playing. It is kinda weird to use SPACE for interact. I suggest to use ENTER instead for interact, guys. I think it is better because mouse is rarely used in this game, right? Overall, good job and good luck Dev for making this game~ :-D

You can change your settings, actually. In the place where you see souvenirs, you can go one step back and do stuff. I'll throw in photos for more clarity. (It's above 6 MB and I have to compress images so)

wow!!! Thank you for your explanation Mike :-D

Of course, no problem--hope all the big issues are clear for you (and you got to play the full demo)!
